It can be tough to become the leader that people seem to need. You have to understand what qualities a great leader has and how you can achieve them yourself. In addition to learning the how and what, you have to know the why.
Be concise and succinct when giving direction to your employees. Explain exactly how you need a task done, when it must be done, and how you would like it done. Make yourself available for questions. Let them know that you welcome questions if they’d like clarity on something.

Good morals should never go out the door when you’re a leader. Ensure that your decisions won’t keep you up at night. If you have an inkling that you will not be happy with the decision you are about to make, stop there. While others may sink to lower levels than you, you don’t have to follow their lead.
